It is amazing to me how technology has grown, and developed within the past 10-15 years. I remember playing my cassette tapes on my boom box, in New York, and using a typewriter to type all my thoughts. I began writing in a note pad, scrapes of paper, you know, just simple ways of writing during my era. Now, it's internet, and email. I continue to remind myself that things have changed, and I must change with the times; so I'm blogging now...I will get use to this in time, and I hope my words, and voice never go out of date. So with this in mind. I leave you with two poems/lyrics I wrote way back when cassettes were in style.
"I Have Known Thee"
I have known thee when days were shattered,
and the sun never made it's debut,
when the moon never shed a tear
I have known thee.
I have loved thee when the skies were gray,
and the birds never flew east,
I have loved thee when the trees
never turned orange,
and winter never ceased,
I have loved thee
I have touched thee
like water running
down your cheek,
and a roses petal
forever soft
I have wanted thee
before time had a number
and a number meant
an age
before an age meant
history
I have wanted thee
loved thee
forever lives on
"I've Loved You All My Life"
I've loved you all my life,
and there's no doubt in my mind,
you've been here all the time
In my heart, in my dreams,
no one else is so so sweet.
I've loved you all my life,
Yes, this is true
Your warmth, your touch
I need, need you
I've loved you all my life,
before the moon, and the stars
your love is never too far
I've loved you all my life
been right here, right from the start
I've loved you all my life,
Yes, this is true
Your warmth, your touch
I need, need you
No need to look around
Love's right here,
and this I've found
I've loved you all my life
